How To Use Asana Miracle Kumkumadi oil?

The oil is beneficial for all skin types but it is strictly advised for people having oily skin to use it in minute quantity so that it doesn’t make the skin greasy. To use it effectively, follow this step-by-step guide on how to apply the oil:

• Clean your face properly to remove any makeup residue.
• Wash your face using a mild face wash.
• Take a few drops of the Kumkumadi Tailam in the hands and apply it all over your face, neck and affected parts.
• Massage it evenly all over in circular upward strokes for 5 to 10 minutes.
While applying the oil, one must keep in mind to let it stay for 2-3 hours and not wash off immediately. People having dry chapped skin can apply it before going to bed and let it stay overnight for more beneficial effects. But people with oily skin can wash off after 3 hours to prevent a build-up of oil and grime overnight.

Ways To Administer This Oil

The oil can be used topically on the affected areas or used as a tincture by mixing it with other oils or can be applied on the face as a face mask or face cream.

DIY Kumkumadi Oil Face Mask


1-2 tbsp of fuller’s earth or multani mitti
1-2 tsp of Kumkumadi oil
1-2 tsp of rose water


Mix all the ingredients into a paste.
Smear it all over your face and neck.
Allow it to dry for 15 minutes.
Wash off with cool water and apply some moisturiser.

This Oil is a natural moisturizer that uses Sesame oil as the base oil. It balances dry and rough skin by virtue of its Vata pacifying nature. Hence, it is useful for dry skin. You can increase the number of drops to 4-5 if your skin is dry.


Yes, is suitable for oily skin. However, the most common disclaimer attached to the oil is don’t over-use Kumkumadi if you have oily skin. It is inadvisable to keep a thick layer of this oil at night. Reduce the number of drops to 1-2. Leave it on for one or two hours and then wash off with a mild cleanser. 


This Oil is not suitable for acne-prone skin.


For sensitive skin, patch testing is recommended. Start with less quantity for a shorter duration and gradually increase it. Hydrate and tone with Rose Water in case you have oily and sensitive skin and with Rose Water in case of dry and sensitive skin.


Try using Kumkumadi oil and your night cream on alternate nights. If you experience any skin issues, then it’s best not to mix the two.


Due to the presence of real Saffron, Kumkumadi oil is not suitable for use in the daytime. If used during the day, there is a high chance of getting a tan.


You need to apply the oil regularly for at least three weeks to see results.


You should cleanse and tone your skin with a natural cleanser and toners before applying Kumkumadi Oil. Leave the oil to work on your skin and do not use anything else after its application.
